When the cloth should not be silicone-coated
Plain white fiberglass cloth is for wrap that sits under cladding and is rarely handled. Graphite FG cloth is the black, both-side graphite face, listed from 550 °C to 900 °C depending on the DSZGF model — not a hotter ceramic fabric. Stay on silicon FG cloth for curtains, screens and covers that are fitted and refitted.
Cut the cloth to the opening
Measure first. A curtain is a drop by a width. A shield is a panel. A cover is the shape that comes off the equipment. Thickness is how the cloth behaves once it is hung or fitted, not a higher temperature. Past DSZSFG0.4, the listed top stays 900 °C.

Which build suits a steel-plant heat shield or a removable equipment cover?
From 1.0 mm the cloth holds its shape better for a shield or a cover that stays in service. DSZSFG1.5 is 1.5 mm and 1600 GSM. DSZSFG2.0 is 2.0 mm and 2200 GSM. Both are listed at 650 °C to 900 °C. DSZSFG3.0 is 3 mm but only 2000 GSM — lighter than DSZSFG2.0 — and its reference roll is 1 × 30 m, not 1 × 50 m. Do not assume the thickest cloth is the heaviest.
Should a shipyard curtain be single-side or both-side coated?
Single-side is enough when one face hangs against a bulkhead or a fixed frame and only the outer face sees sparks. Both-side is for a screen people pass on either side, or a cover that gets turned during a refit. Every DSZSFG model lists single-side or both-side coating. Say which one on the quotation.
Is this cloth approved for naval or marine use?
No. Darshan Safety Zone does not list a naval or marine approval for Signature Silicon FG Cloth. Yards and repair berths in Visakhapatnam can order it as welding-curtain, spark-barrier, heat-shield and removable-cover cloth, and they follow their own permit and procedure. The order is thickness, coating, colour and size — not an approval certificate.
Do all ten models share one temperature listing?
No. DSZSFG0.3 is listed at 550 °C to 800 °C. DSZSFG0.4 is listed at 550 °C to 900 °C. DSZSFG0.5 through DSZSFG3.0, and DSZSFG800, are listed at 650 °C to 900 °C. More thickness adds mass on most models. It does not raise the listed top of the range past 900 °C. Confirm the figure on the variant you select.
How do I order the size of a curtain or a shield?
Enter length and width in metres on the product page. The cloth is cut to that size and priced by the square metre. The 1 × 50 m figure is the reference roll on nine models. DSZSFG3.0 uses a 1 × 30 m reference roll. Neither figure is a minimum order. A curtain and a small shield should be separate lines.
We already buy DSZSFG silicon fire blankets. Is this the same product?
No. The model numbers overlap and the products do not. This page is roll cloth under FG Product, sold per square metre, for curtains, shields and covers you cut. Signature Silicon Fire Blanket is a finished cover sold per piece against a 1 × 2 metre reference. Insulation tape can also carry a DSZSFG number. Order from the cloth page, not from the number alone.
Which models can I get with adhesive backing?
DSZSFG0.3, DSZSFG0.4, DSZSFG0.5 and DSZSFG0.8 list adhesive coating as No or Yes. DSZSFG0.6, DSZSFG1.0, DSZSFG1.5, DSZSFG2.0, DSZSFG3.0 and DSZSFG800 are listed without adhesive only. If a curtain needs a sticky face for a temporary fixing, stay on a model that lists the option and say Yes on the order.
What is DSZSFG800 if it has no thickness?
DSZSFG800 is specified by weight: 800 GSM. The catalogue does not list a thickness for it, so do not guess one. It is grey, red or black, single-side or both-side, with no adhesive option, on a 1 × 50 m reference roll, listed at 650 °C to 900 °C. Use it when the requisition is written in GSM rather than millimetres.
