Fire Blanket
Signature Silicon Fire Blanket
Eight DSZSFG models · 0.4–2.0 mm · up to 900 °C
₹530.00/ NOS
Signature silicon fire blanket · Visakhapatnam
A cover left on a Malkapuram scaffold through a shutdown week is a different piece from the blanket a fire-watch carries to a Parawada permit and hangs back on the hook. This page matches those two jobs to a Signature Silicon Fire Blanket thickness, from DSZSFG0.4 to DSZSFG2.0, and shows when the uncoated fire blanket or a welding blanket belongs on the quotation instead. We make them in Ahmedabad and dispatch to your plant.
Fire Blanket
Eight DSZSFG models · 0.4–2.0 mm · up to 900 °C

Plain Signature Fire Blanket is white uncoated E-glass for a spare that stays in the cupboard. Move to the silicon blanket when the cloth is handled often, or when oil and moisture are part of the job. The silicon face is not a chemical-resistance rating and not a hazardous-area approval.
Thickness is mass between the sparks and what you are covering. It does not change the colour and, past 0.4 mm, it does not change the listed temperature. Match the row, then open that product to pick coating, colour and size.
| Job on the permit | Start with | Build | Working temperature | Order |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fire-watch blanket carried to a permit and hung back on the hook | DSZSFG0.4 | 0.4 mm · 460 GSM · red or black to spot it | 550 °C to 900 °C | |
| Same fire-watch duty when you want a little more body in the cloth | DSZSFG0.6 | 0.6 mm · 530 GSM · single-side if one face stays out | 650 °C to 900 °C | |
| Grinding cover moved from one flange or platform to the next in a shift | DSZSFG0.8 / DSZSFG1.0 | 0.8–1.0 mm · 900–970 GSM | 650 °C to 900 °C | |
| Cover left on a scaffold or equipment across several shutdown shifts | DSZSFG1.5 / DSZSFG2.0 | 1.5–2.0 mm · 1600–2200 GSM · both-side if it is flipped | 650 °C to 900 °C | |
| Spare that sits in a cupboard and is rarely taken out | DSZFG0.6 uncoated | 0.6 mm · 430 GSM · white E-glass · no silicon face | 600 °C to 900 °C |
Refinery turnarounds, pharma-city permits and plant outages do not stock the same piece. The heavy cover stays with the job. The light piece stays with the fire-watch.

A fire-watch piece and a scaffold cover are two lines. Size entry is in the custom-size guide. Several lines on one request are in the bulk quotation guide.
Darshan Safety Zone manufactures Signature Silicon Fire Blankets at our Ahmedabad factory and dispatches them to plant addresses in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli. We do not hold stock or run a branch here. We confirm dispatch for your models and quantities on the quotation.
Sparks and light slag sit inside this blanket's job. A weld pool or cutting that leaves molten metal on the cloth does not. Those lines are welding blankets.

For a cover that stays on equipment or a scaffold across several shifts, start with DSZSFG1.5 (1.5 mm, 1600 GSM) or DSZSFG2.0 (2.0 mm, 2200 GSM). Both are listed at 650 °C to 900 °C, in grey, red or black, with single-side or both-side coating, on a 1 × 2 metre reference size. Both-side coating is the one to name if the blanket gets turned and either face can face the sparks. This is hot-work cover, not a welding blanket for molten metal.
A light piece they can carry and hang back on the hook: DSZSFG0.4 (0.4 mm, 460 GSM, listed at 550 °C to 900 °C) or DSZSFG0.6 (0.6 mm, 530 GSM, listed at 650 °C to 900 °C). Red or black is easier to spot than grey; the temperature listing is the same across colours. The listing does not include a hazardous-area rating or a chemical-resistance figure. Use it as fire-watch and spark cover under your site permit.
Single-side is enough when one face stays against the floor, lagging or equipment and only the outer face sees sparks and handling. Both-side is for a blanket that gets turned, or where you cannot guarantee which face lands upward — common when a shutdown cover is flipped on a scaffold board. Say which you need on the quotation. Every DSZSFG model offers both coating options.
No. Grey, red and black are the same build. Grey is the usual choice. Red and black are for visibility, so a fire-watch blanket is easy to find on a hook or beside a permit board. Pick the colour in the order; it does not change thickness, GSM or the listed temperature.
For sparks and light slag, yes. Sustained welding spatter and molten metal need a welding blanket — the medium-duty range for bay welding, or the heavy vermiculite-coated range when the metal stays on the cloth. If the permit is grinding and spark cover, stay on DSZSFG. If the blanket will sit under regular welding, order the welding blanket on its own line.
No. DSZSFG0.4 is listed at 550 °C to 900 °C. DSZSFG0.5 through DSZSFG2.0 are listed at 650 °C to 900 °C. More thickness adds GSM and mass; it does not raise the listed top of the range. Confirm the figure on the variant you select before it goes into a requisition.
No. 1 × 2 metre is the reference size on every model. Enter the length and width you need, in metres, on the product page. The blanket is supplied at that size and sold per piece. One line per size and model. A fire-watch piece and a large scaffold cover should not share a line.
No. The number can appear on more than one product. This page is the silicon fire blanket, sold per piece against a 1 × 2 metre reference. Silicon FG cloth is roll fabric sold by the square metre. Insulation tape is a different product again. Order from the fire-blanket page, not from the model number alone.
Look over the coated face and the cloth for burns, holes or coating damage. A damaged coated face protects less than it looks. Retire a compromised blanket. Between permits, keep it dry, flat or loosely rolled, and do not press a sharp crease into the coating — a hard fold is where the silicon layer cracks.
