Signature ceramic fire blankets · Odhav foundry belt

Ceramic fire blankets for Odhav foundry furnace hot-work cover

Cupola spout repairs, induction furnace doors and temporary radiant layout on the melt floor need a finished ceramic blanket — not the silicon fire-watch stock used in Vatva and Changodar fabrication bays, and not the uncoated blankets on the public home page. Signature Ceramic Fire Blanket is DSZCF3.0, DSZCF4.0 and DSZCF5.0: white, SS Metallic Reinforced, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. Manufactured in Ahmedabad and shipped to the foundry or stores address on your order.

Silicon and plain blankets — different jobs

Vatva and Changodar fire-watch and home smother cover stay on their own product lines. Compare siblings before you mix SKUs on one foundry quotation.

City pages: silicon fire blanket for Vatva and Changodar hot work; plain fire blanket for home and shop cover.

Furnace-side jobs on the Odhav melt floor

Plan by where the blanket sits relative to molten metal and radiant heat — not by welder headcount. Each row is a finished blanket order with model, size and quantity on its own line.

Foundry pockets from Odhav to Sanand

Gujarat procurement often ships to the Odhav gate. The blanket specification follows the furnace job, not the estate name on the letterhead.

DSZCF models — three builds, one ceramic family

All three models are white with SS Metallic Reinforced construction. Thickness and GSM increase from DSZCF3.0 to DSZCF5.0. For selection logic across blanket families, see how to choose a fire blanket.

Order flow for a Gujarat foundry team

Four steps from job definition to dispatch — same whether the PO shows a corporate office or an Odhav melt-floor gate.

  1. Step 1

    Pick the melt-side job

Spout cover, door lay-over, ladle-path layout or stores spare — one job type per quotation line.

  2. Step 2

    Select DSZCF model

3.0 for light layout, 4.0 for routine furnace-side cover, 5.0 under heavy slag or long radiant exposure.

  3. Step 3

    Enter L×W and quantity

Metres on the product page. Reference format 1 × 2 m — order the finished size for each piece.

  4. Step 4

Manufacture and ship to the foundry

Made in Ahmedabad after payment. Courier bands on the shipping policy are estimates only.

Foundry heat context: metal and foundry industry page. Sustained welding spatter under an active arc may still need a welding blanket — do not swap categories because the temperature numbers look similar on paper.

What to send for a quotation

Frequently asked questions

Odhav foundry and Gujarat procurement teams ordering ceramic fire blankets.

Which DSZCF model fits an Odhav induction furnace door lay-over?

Start with DSZCF4.0 — 4.0 mm, 1500 GSM, SS Metallic Reinforced, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C — when the blanket stays down for a full maintenance window. Use DSZCF3.0 if the piece is moved often during the job. Step to DSZCF5.0 at 2500 GSM when slag or radiant load sits on the face all shift. Enter length and width in metres on the product page; 1 × 2 m is reference size.

How is this different from the Ahmedabad silicon fire blanket page?

Silicon DSZSFG blankets serve Vatva, Changodar and Narol dye-plant and fabrication fire-watch below about 900 °C. Ceramic DSZCF covers 1260 °C to 1760 °C for Odhav foundry furnace-side and hot-work layout. A Changodar process permit board and an Odhav cupola spout repair are different quotation lines.

Should we order this or the Ahmedabad plain fire blanket?

Plain DSZFG suits household and lane-shop smother cover below about 900 °C on the Ahmedabad plain fire blanket page. Furnace-side and radiant hot work in Odhav foundries belongs on ceramic DSZCF models here — not the public uncoated page.

Is this the same as Ahmedabad ceramic fiber fabric?

No. Ceramic fiber fabric is roll cloth by the square metre with more thickness builds and a non-metallic option. This product is the finished ceramic fire blanket sold per piece with SS Metallic Reinforced construction — order from the Signature Ceramic Fire Blanket PDP.

Can we use ceramic blankets instead of welding blankets on the melt floor?

For high-temperature cover layout near a furnace, yes. For sustained welding spatter under an active arc, specify welding blankets in the Welding Blanket category. Same temperature language on paper does not swap categories.

Is there DSZ stock on the Odhav estate or a walk-in counter in Ahmedabad?

No dealer shelf in the GIDC estates and no walk-in counter for blanket pickup. We manufacture in Ahmedabad and ship to the foundry or stores address on the order. Sharing the city does not mean same-day collection. Need it urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and available dispatch options.

When does an Ahmedabad foundry order leave the factory after payment?

Processing is 1–2 business days after payment. Shipping policy courier estimates are 1–3 days local, 2–5 within Gujarat and 3–7 for the rest of India — estimates only. Quotation confirms dispatch, not arrival day.

How do we write quantities for two cupola lines and a stores spare?

One line per DSZCF model, size and quantity — DSZCF3.0 for light layout, DSZCF4.0 for routine furnace-side cover, DSZCF5.0 where slag keeps the piece down. Do not mix silicon or plain blanket SKUs on the same ceramic quotation.

What should crews inspect before each use?

Check the white face and edges for burns, holes or pulled reinforcement wire. Retire blankets with compromised fibre or SS reinforcement — there is no fixed reuse cycle on the spec sheet.

Do you invent foundry or furnace certifications on this page?

No. We do not name customer foundries or claim site-specific approvals. Company ISO 9001:2015 supports vendor onboarding on /certificates. Put any tender standard on the RFQ for confirmation against live product panels only.
