Silicon fire blankets for Vatva dye plants and Changodar process hot work
A fire-watch at a Vatva dye unit and a cover left on a Changodar process line need the same product in two thicknesses. Signature Silicon Fire Blanket is eight DSZSFG models, each a 1 × 2 metre piece, grey, red or black, single-side or both-side coating. We make them at our Ahmedabad factory. You order by model and by the number of pieces, not by a custom rectangle.
Where Ahmedabad plants use this blanket
Vatva is the dye and chemical estate. Changodar is the process region west of the city. Narol is fabric dyeing and processing. Odhav adds process bays that share a spent-acid route with Vatva. The blanket is the same 1 × 2 metre family in each place.
Vatva GIDC

- Blanket:

- DSZSFG1.0 (1.0 mm, 970 GSM) as the equipment cover. Keep DSZSFG0.6 with the fire-watch. Thickness does not lift the 900 °C listing.

Which thickness stays on equipment through a maintenance job?
Move up the same product when the blanket stays down. DSZSFG1.0 is 1.0 mm and 970 GSM. DSZSFG1.5 is 1.5 mm and 1600 GSM. DSZSFG2.0 is 2.0 mm and 2200 GSM. Those three, and DSZSFG0.5, DSZSFG0.8 and DSZSFG1.2, are all listed at 650 °C to 900 °C. Extra thickness adds mass. It does not publish a higher ceiling.
Why does DSZSFG0.4 list a lower starting temperature?
DSZSFG0.4 is the light piece: 0.4 mm and 460 GSM, still 1 × 2 metre, still grey, red or black, still single-side or both-side coating. Its working temperature is 550 °C to 900 °C. Every other DSZSFG model on this blanket starts at 650 °C and ends at 900 °C.
Can a Changodar bay order a custom length?
No. This product is not customisable. All eight models are 1 × 2 metre and sold per piece (NOS). Name the model, the colour, single-side or both-side coating, and how many pieces. A rectangle entered as length by width belongs on the welding-blanket pages, not here.
Is DSZSFG0.6 the roll cloth or the insulation tape?
On this page it is the Signature Silicon Fire Blanket. The same model-number family is used on other Signature products, including roll cloth and insulation tape. Those are different products. Order this one when the piece you need is the 1 × 2 metre fire blanket.
Does the coating or the colour change the temperature?
The catalogue does not say so. Every model offers grey, red or black, and single-side or both-side coating. Temperature is listed on the model: 550 °C to 900 °C on DSZSFG0.4, and 650 °C to 900 °C on the other seven. Pick both-side coating when either face may take spark.
Is this blanket a chemical-resistant, GMP or fire-code product?
No. Published facts are thickness, GSM, colour, coating, the 1 × 2 metre size and a working temperature. Chemical resistance, a GMP status, a fire-hour rating and an IS or EN product standard are absent. ISO 9001:2015 is the manufacturer’s certificate.
When should the welding blanket be on the requisition instead?
