Signature welding blankets · Ahmedabad

Welding blankets for Odhav, Vatva, Naroda shops and Sanand hot work

A bench in Odhav throws light spatter. A Naroda bay leaves a cover under plate cutting. Both are Signature welding blankets, made at our Ahmedabad factory, and they are not the same cloth. Medium-duty DSZMDWB2.4 stops at 1000 °C and is non-metallic. Heavy DSZVCF roll models are SS metallic reinforced and listed to 1760 °C. You order each piece by length and width.

The medium-duty blanket is a different product

DSZMDWB2.4 is 2.4 mm and 1300 GSM, vermiculite coated, brown, with non-metallic fabric reinforcement, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. Use it for spark and spatter. Move to the heavy DSZVCF range when the cover has to take slag.

Match the blanket to the spark, not the estate

Shops in all four places can order both families. The split is the job. A thicker heavy blanket does not list a temperature above 1760 °C.

  • Naroda GIDC

GIDC estate listed as saturated — north-east Ahmedabad

    Work:
Heavier fabrication and machining shops cutting and welding structural pieces
    Blanket:
DSZVCF4.0 (4.0 mm, 1700 GSM) or DSZVCF4.5 (4.5 mm, 2000 GSM) when slag sits on the cover. The temperature listing does not climb with thickness. It stays 1260 °C to 1760 °C.

    Start with: DSZVCF4.0

  • Sanand-II industrial estate

GIDC automobile and ancillary estate, about 2,056 hectares, 25–30 km from Ahmedabad

    Work:
Fixture welding and hot work beside wiring on auto-ancillary lines
    Blanket:
DSZMDWB2.4 where the cover sits near cables and panels — the reinforcement is non-metallic. DSZVCF3.2 where the job is slag on a fixture. Neither is an electrical approval.

    Start with: DSZMDWB2.4

Made in Ahmedabad, for Ahmedabad shops

Darshan Safety Zone manufactures Signature welding blankets at our factory in Ahmedabad and dispatches them to the shop address on the order. Being in the same city does not mean a counter in Odhav, Vatva, Naroda or Sanand. We do not run a dealer network, and we do not state a delivery time. The quotation confirms dispatch. Sharing the city with the factory does not promise a same-day collection.

Need a blanket for a bay urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and the dispatch options that are open. That conversation does not guarantee same-day delivery or that the blankets are ready to collect.

Frequently asked questions

Answers for Ahmedabad fabrication, engineering and auto-ancillary buyers choosing a Signature welding blanket.

Which welding blanket should an Odhav or Vatva shop buy for everyday spark cover?

Start with Signature Medium Duty Welding Blanket, model DSZMDWB2.4, when the job is bench welding and light spatter. It is 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, with non-metallic fabric reinforcement, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. Enter length and width in metres. It is sold per piece, not as a fixed shop size.

When does the same shop need the heavy DSZVCF blanket instead?

When slag and cutting sparks stay on the cover, or the piece is left down through a shift of plate work. Signature Welding Blanket is the heavy range: brown, vermiculite-coated ceramic fibre. Roll-format models from DSZVCF2.8 to DSZVCF5.0 are SS metallic reinforced and listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. DSZVCF3.2, 3.2 mm and 1500 GSM, is the usual first heavy build.

What is different about DSZVCF2.5?

DSZVCF2.5 is the lighter heavy-family piece: 1000 GSM, brown, coating listed as Vermiculite, reference size 1 × 2 m, working temperature 1200 °C to 1760 °C. The catalogue does not list a thickness or a reinforcement for it. Do not treat it as a 2.5 mm blanket. The 1 × 2 m figure is a reference, not the size you must order.

Does a thicker heavy blanket raise the temperature listing?

No. DSZVCF2.8, DSZVCF3.0, DSZVCF3.2, DSZVCF4.0, DSZVCF4.5 and DSZVCF5.0 are all listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. Thickness runs from 3.0 mm on DSZVCF2.8 and DSZVCF3.0 up to 5.0 mm and 2200 GSM on DSZVCF5.0. More millimetres add mass for slag. They do not publish a higher ceiling. DSZVCF2.8 is numbered 2.8 and specified at 3.0 mm — use the thickness on the label.

Which blanket belongs near cables and control panels in a Sanand ancillary bay?

DSZMDWB2.4. Its reinforcement is non-metallic fabric. The heavy roll models are SS metallic reinforced. Use the medium-duty blanket where the cover sits beside wiring and panels, and move to a DSZVCF model only when the job is slag and cutting. Neither blanket is an electrical-safety certificate.

How do I order the size?

Enter length and width in metres on the product page. The blanket is priced per piece for that rectangle. Heavy roll models show a 1 × 30 m reference. DSZVCF2.5 shows 1 × 2 m. DSZMDWB2.4 shows 1 × 50 m. Those figures describe the catalogue cloth. They are not the piece you have to take, and they are not a list of stocked sizes.

Can one quotation mix medium-duty and heavy blankets?

Yes. Put each on its own line: model, length, width and how many pieces. A Naroda bay might want DSZMDWB2.4 at the bench and DSZVCF4.0 under plate cutting. Name the estate and the address. We quote both from the Ahmedabad factory.

Are these blankets certified to a fire-hour rating or an IS standard?

No fire-hour rating and no IS product standard is listed on these models. Use the working-temperature range on the variant you select. Company ISO 9001:2015 is the manufacturer's certificate, not a blanket approval.

You are in Ahmedabad. Can I collect from Odhav, Vatva or Naroda the same day?

No. Signature welding blankets are made at our factory in Ahmedabad. We do not keep a counter or a dealer in the GIDC estates or at Sanand, and sharing the city with the factory does not promise a same-day collection. The quotation confirms how the pieces will be dispatched to the address you give. It does not promise an arrival day. Need the pieces urgently? Contact our sales team through the contact form with the shop address, the model and when you need them. They can advise on the dispatch options open for that order. That conversation does not guarantee same-day delivery or that the blankets are ready to collect.

Is the medium-duty blanket a lighter version of the same DSZVCF cloth?

No. DSZMDWB2.4 is a separate product: 2.4 mm, non-metallic, 900 °C to 1000 °C. The DSZVCF family is ceramic fibre with vermiculite, and the roll models are SS metallic reinforced at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. Order each from its own product page.
