Aluminium coats for body cover during Odhav foundry work

Safety teams in Odhav specify a closed coat when pouring, tapping or furnace tending puts radiant heat on the torso and arms. Signature Aluminium Coat is silver, aluminium coated and free size. Four builds, DSZALC.2L to DSZALC.5L, step up in layers and weight. Every build lists 700 °C to 900 °C. The coat is the body layer. Hands, a front apron and a full proximity suit are separate lines. We make the coats at our Ahmedabad factory and dispatch them to the address on your order.

Hands and the front of the body, beside the coat

DSZALC covers the body. Add gloves when the tool is in the hand, and an apron when the procedure only needs the front. Both are separate products.

The listed temperature stays 700 °C to 900 °C on every row. You are choosing how much weight sits on the shoulders for the time the person spends in the radiant field. Open the coat, then name the layer on the quotation. The page does not preselect a build.

Odhav floors where the body faces the furnace

Odhav is the foundry cluster in the district MSME profile, and the Odhav Industries Association lists foundries among the estate's industry types. Naroda, Vatva, Rakhial and Tribhuvan are further concentrations in the published Ahmedabad foundry cluster profile. The coat family is the same on each floor. The layer follows how long the body stays in the heat.

Coat, gloves, apron or proximity suit

A foundry procedure often names more than one garment. This coat is the closed body piece. The other three cover a different part of the person, or a different kind of task. Put each on its own line.

  • Closed body

    Signature Aluminium Coat

Torso, sides and arms. Free size, 2 to 5 layers, listed at 700 °C to 900 °C, sold per piece. Wear the aluminium face outward.

  • Hands

    Signature Aluminum Gloves

The coat stops short of the fingers. Specify the gloves on a pair line. The Ahmedabad gloves guide is the hand specification.

  • Front of the body

    Signature Aluminized Apron

A front panel, listed at 600 °C to 800 °C. Use it when the procedure only needs the front, and keep the closed coat for full wrap-around cover.

  • Sustained close work

    Signature Fire Proximity Suit

The full ensemble when a coat, gloves and apron are not the set the task needs. Its temperature and layers belong to the suit, not to DSZALC.

DSZALC.5L5 layers8 kg approx700 °C to 900 °C

Before anyone enters the heat zone, look over the aluminium face and the seams, and check the cuffs, hem and closure on the wearer. Retire the coat when the coating is cracked, peeled or worn through. Store it dry, hung or laid flat, and avoid sharp folds that crease the reflective face. We do not offer a layer count outside these four builds.

What a bulk coat quotation needs

A foundry order is a piece count for coats, plus pair and piece counts for anything worn with them. Send the five lines below. The bulk quotation guide walks through a multi-line request. Use the contact form when you want the lines checked before they go on a purchase order.

  1. Line 1

    Layer model

DSZALC.2L, DSZALC.3L, DSZALC.4L or DSZALC.5L. All four list 700 °C to 900 °C. The model is the weight and layer choice.

  2. Line 2

    Piece count

Number of coats. Sold per piece (NOS). Count the people who enter the radiant field on each shift, then add spares for a coating that fails the pre-use check.

  3. Line 3

    Task

Pour, tap or furnace tend, and whether the stand is short or long. That is how you choose 2 layers or 5. It does not create a fifth model.

  4. Line 4

    Address

Odhav, Naroda, Vatva, Rakhial, Tribhuvan, or another Ahmedabad delivery address.

  5. Line 5

    The rest of the kit

Gloves as a pair count. An apron or a proximity suit as its own piece count, only when the procedure calls for it.

Dispatched from the Ahmedabad factory

Darshan Safety Zone is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer. Signature Aluminium Coats are made at our Ahmedabad factory and sent to the address on the order. Odhav, Naroda, Vatva, Rakhial and Tribhuvan do not have a Darshan Safety Zone counter, dealer or shelf. Sharing a city with the factory does not create a same-day collection.

Need coats for a pour urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and the dispatch options that are open. That conversation does not guarantee same-day delivery or that the coats are ready to collect.

Our shipping and delivery policy gives India courier ranges only as estimates: about 1 to 2 business days to handle the order, then about 1 to 3 days for a local Ahmedabad address, 2 to 5 days within Gujarat, and 3 to 7 days for the rest of India. The quotation confirms dispatch. Bulk piece counts follow the production schedule on that quotation.

When the task outgrows a coat

Pouring and furnace tending that a coat, gloves and an apron can cover stay on those three lines. Sustained close work that needs the full ensemble moves to the proximity suit. Read its own specification before you copy a temperature across.

Signature Fire Proximity Suit: the full ensemble for sustained close work. Its layer builds and listed temperature belong to the suit.

Guides for foundry body protection

Questions safety teams ask

Answers for Ahmedabad foundry and furnace teams specifying a DSZALC coat, including how the layer choice works and what a bulk quotation needs.

Which aluminium coat should an Odhav foundry name for pouring and furnace tending?

Signature Aluminium Coat is the closed body layer. Four free-size builds share one listed working temperature, 700 °C to 900 °C: DSZALC.2L at about 5 kg, DSZALC.3L at about 6 kg, DSZALC.4L at about 7 kg and DSZALC.5L at about 8 kg. All are silver with an aluminium coating and sold per piece. Name the layer model on the purchase order. The product page does not preselect it.

Does a heavier coat carry a higher listed temperature?

No. DSZALC.2L through DSZALC.5L each list 700 °C to 900 °C. Extra layers add insulation and weight on the shoulders. They do not raise the listed temperature. Two layers suit a short tap or a crew that has to move. Four and five layers are what sites specify when someone stands in radiant heat for a longer furnace tend.

What does free size mean before someone approaches a furnace?

Every DSZALC model is free size, cut to go over work clothing. Check the cuffs, the hem and the closure on the wearer before they go near the heat. A coat that gapes at the front or rides up at the wrists is not covering the body the way the specification intends.

When does Odhav furnace work use the coat, and when the apron?

Use the closed Signature Aluminium Coat when radiant heat reaches the torso, the sides and the arms, as it does while pouring, tapping or tending a furnace. The listed band on every DSZALC model is 700 °C to 900 °C. The Signature Aluminized Apron is the front panel, listed at 600 °C to 800 °C. Choose the apron when the procedure only needs the front of the body. Keep the two on separate quotation lines.

When does furnace tending move from this coat to a proximity suit?

Stay with the Signature Aluminium Coat when a coat, gloves and an apron match the task. Move to the Signature Fire Proximity Suit when the job is sustained close work and that three-piece set is not the ensemble your procedure calls for. The suit is a different product, with its own layer builds and its own listed temperature. Do not copy the suit's figures onto DSZALC.

Does the coat cover the hands during a pour?

No. DSZALC covers the body. The fingers stay outside it, and the person holding a ladle or a skim rod still needs a glove. Specify Signature Aluminum Gloves on their own line, counted in pairs. The Ahmedabad gloves guide is the hand specification. This page is the body specification.

Is EN 469, CE or an IS standard listed for the DSZALC coat?

No EN 469, CE, NFPA or IS product standard is listed for DSZALC.2L, DSZALC.3L, DSZALC.4L or DSZALC.5L. Darshan Safety Zone holds ISO 9001:2015 for its quality management system. That is a company certificate, not a coat test mark. If your programme needs named paperwork, say so on the quotation and we will confirm what we can supply for the build you order.

How is this coat different from a back-open coat?

This is the closed DSZALC coat: full wrap-around coverage, listed at 700 °C to 900 °C. The Signature Back Open Coat is a different product. It leaves the back open for quicker on-and-off and ventilation, and it is listed at 600 °C to 800 °C. Specify the closed coat when the pour or the furnace tend needs the body covered all the way around at the higher listed band.

What should a bulk coat quotation include?

Send the DSZALC model, the number of pieces, the task (pour, tap or furnace tend) and the delivery address. Add gloves as a pair count and an apron or proximity suit as its own piece count when the procedure calls for them. Piece count and pair count stay separate. A mixed kit can also go through the contact form.

Can a foundry collect coats from a counter in Odhav?

No. We manufacture in Ahmedabad and dispatch to the address on the order. Odhav and the other foundry areas on this page do not have a Darshan Safety Zone counter, dealer or shelf. Sharing the city with the factory does not promise a same-day collection. Our shipping policy gives India courier ranges only as estimates: about 1 to 2 business days to handle the order, then about 1 to 3 days locally, 2 to 5 days within Gujarat, and 3 to 7 days for the rest of India. The quotation confirms dispatch. It does not promise an arrival day. Need coats for a pour urgently? Contact our sales team through the contact form with the delivery address, the DSZALC model and when you need them. They can discuss the dispatch options for that order. Contacting us does not guarantee same-day delivery or that the coats are ready to collect.
