Signature Aluminium Coat · Richards Bay

Aluminium coats for radiant-heat work at Richards Bay metals sites

A metals safety team in Richards Bay specifies Signature Aluminium Coat as the body layer against radiant heat. Four builds are listed, DSZALC.2L through DSZALC.5L, all free size, all silver, all aluminium coated, all at 700 °C to 900 °C. More layers add weight. They do not raise the temperature. The coat is sold per piece. We make it in Ahmedabad and ship it on the order.

The coat covers the body, not the hands

Wear the silver aluminium face outward. It is the reflective side. The coat is a closed, full-coverage body layer. It does not replace Signature Aluminum Gloves. Match gloves to the site procedure. An aluminized apron is a front layer when the task calls for one. The apron is listed at 600 °C to 800 °C, which is a lower band than this coat. Do not copy the apron band onto DSZALC.

Check the cuffs, the hem and the closure on the wearer before the heat zone. A coat that gapes is not covering the body. Inspect the aluminium face and the seams. Cracked, peeled or worn-through coating means that coat is finished. Store it dry, hung or laid flat. A sharp fold can crack the face along a crease.

More layers add weight, not temperature

Every listed coat is 700 °C to 900 °C. DSZALC.2L through DSZALC.5L differ by layer count and by approximate weight. There is no separate radiant-heat figure, and there is no higher band on the five-layer coat. Colour is Silver. Coating is aluminium. Size is free size on every model. HSN 70191900. The unit is the piece.

Government Notice 743 of 2017 designates the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone in phases. The City of uMhlathuze review names Alton and the Central Industrial Area inside the industrial town. The rows map a coat build to the kind of radiant-heat work on that floor. The list is not a record of who buys from us.

Gloves, an apron, or the full suit

Stay on this coat when the body needs a closed aluminized layer and the hands are covered by gloves. Move to the Signature Fire Proximity Suit when the job is sustained close work and the site wants the full ensemble. The suit is a different product. Do not write its approvals onto DSZALC. A back-open coat is also a different product, listed on a lower temperature band. This page does not specify it.

Questions from Richards Bay metals safety teams

What does the coat cover on a Richards Bay metals floor?

The body. Signature Aluminium Coat is the closed, full-coverage layer in an aluminized kit. The silver aluminium face is worn outward so it reflects radiant heat. It does not cover the hands. Match it with aluminized gloves, and with an apron when the site procedure asks for one.

What temperature is listed?

700 °C to 900 °C on DSZALC.2L, DSZALC.3L, DSZALC.4L and DSZALC.5L. More layers do not raise that band. They add weight. There is no separate radiant-heat figure on these coats.

Which layer build should a crew pick?

DSZALC.2L is about 5 kg, for a shorter task where people still need to move. DSZALC.3L is about 6 kg. DSZALC.4L is about 7 kg and DSZALC.5L is about 8 kg, for a longer stand in radiant heat. All four are free size, silver, and aluminium coated. The temperature rating does not change.

What size is the coat?

Free size on every model, cut to go over work clothing. Check the cuffs, the hem and the closure on the wearer before anyone goes near the heat. A coat that gapes is not covering the body.

Can the coat be worn on its own?

No. It is body protection, not a full ensemble. Hands need Signature Aluminum Gloves. An apron covers the front when the task calls for it. Sustained close work near intense heat is a fire proximity suit, which is a different product. This coat stays the closed body layer.

How is it sold?

Per piece. Name the DSZALC layer build and how many coats the crew needs. The four listed builds are the catalogue. A request outside those builds is confirmed on the quotation.

What should be checked before the coat goes on?

The aluminium face and the seams. Cracked, peeled or worn-through coating means the coat is finished. Store it dry, hung or laid flat. Sharp folds can crack the reflective face along a crease. That check is for the coat you already hold. It is not a product certification.

Is there a warehouse in South Africa or a stated arrival day?

No. Darshan Safety Zone manufactures the coats in Ahmedabad and ships them on the order. There is no warehouse, branch or shelf in Richards Bay or elsewhere in South Africa, and we do not state a South Africa arrival day. Transit follows freight and customs. Need this urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and available dispatch options.

Who pays duty, and is a named plant our customer?

Import duties and customs are yours. This page describes body protection for metals safety teams in Richards Bay. It does not name a company as a Darshan Safety Zone customer. No hazardous-area approval is listed. ISO 9001:2015 is our company quality system, not a coat certification.
