Darshan Safety Zone · Richards Bay body coats

A Richards Bay phase is a stand length, and the band stays put

Phase 1A through Phase 1F step from a two-layer coat to a five-layer coat. Every one is free size and listed at 700 °C to 900 °C. Alton and the Central Industrial Area reuse DSZALC.4L and DSZALC.2L. They do not invent another model. The coat covers the body. Ahmedabad makes it. Dispatch follows the quotation. Duties stay with the buyer.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Richards Bay coat order change?

The layer count and the weight. DSZALC.2L is about 5 kg, DSZALC.3L about 6 kg, DSZALC.4L about 7 kg, and DSZALC.5L about 8 kg. Every coat is free size and listed at 700 °C to 900 °C. Extra layers add weight. They do not raise the band.

How do the IDZ phases map onto those layers?

Phase 1A starts at DSZALC.2L, a shorter task where the wearer still moves. Phase 1C is DSZALC.3L. Phase 1D is DSZALC.4L. Phase 1F is DSZALC.5L, the longest stand. The phase names the stand. It does not name a different temperature.

Alton and the Central Industrial Area are outside that phase list. Which coat?

Alton starts at DSZALC.4L for a longer time beside hot metal. The Central Industrial Area starts at DSZALC.2L where mobility still matters. They reuse layers. They do not add a fifth code.

Does the coat include the hands?

No. It is a closed body coat, sold per piece. Gloves are a separate product. An apron is a front layer, not this coat. A fire proximity suit is the full ensemble when a coat is not enough.

Ekurhuleni cloth and Secunda tape are also South Africa. Are they this coat?

No. Ekurhuleni is silicone cloth by the square metre. Secunda is DSZSFG0.6 tape by the kilogram for a shutdown. Richards Bay is the body, one piece per coat.

Where is the coat made?

At the Ahmedabad factory. Richards Bay has no Darshan Safety Zone shelf. Pieces ship after the quotation names the layer. Duties and import taxes are the buyer’s. No arrival day is stated.

Do you name a Richards Bay operator as a customer?

No. The IDZ phases, Alton and the Central Industrial Area describe the stand. The page does not say that Sasol, Transnet, or any mining company buys the coat, and it does not claim a hazardous-area or civil-defence approval.

What is on a Richards Bay line?

One code from DSZALC.2L to DSZALC.5L, how many pieces, and whether the stand is short or long. Confirm free size over the work clothing. Gloves, an apron or a proximity suit are extra lines.

Quote the Richards Bay layer, then the pieces

Short and mobile, or the long stand in Phase 1F. The band stays 700 °C to 900 °C. Ahmedabad makes the coat. No arrival day is stated for Richards Bay.
