A Ras Laffan maintenance order is for hot work inside the plant: slag on a vessel or pipe during a shutdown, or spark beside electrical gear. Signature Welding Blanket is the heavy DSZVCF family, brown and vermiculite coated, for slag and sustained spatter. Signature Medium Duty Welding Blanket, DSZMDWB2.4, is the non-metallic spark cover. We make both in Ahmedabad and ship them on the order. Name the model, then enter length and width in metres.
Spark cover for electrical rooms on the same outage
DSZMDWB2.4 is the medium-duty blanket: 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, non-metallic fabric, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. Use it when the permit is spark beside switchgear. It is not the slag cover. The heavy range is a different product.

What the Signature packs list
Every model is brown. DSZVCF2.5 carries the coating label Vermiculite and has no thickness or reinforcement on the panel. The other heavy models are vermiculite coated and stainless-steel metallic reinforced. DSZMDWB2.4 is vermiculite coated with non-metallic fabric. Heavy-blanket HSN is 68062000. Medium-duty HSN is 70191900. Both are sold per piece. Read how temperature ratings are read before you treat a printed band as a single point. No hazardous-area or civil-defence approval is listed.

The heavy Signature Welding Blanket. For slag on a vessel, spool or structural steel during a shutdown, DSZVCF3.2 is the usual start: 3.2 mm, 1500 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, stainless-steel metallic reinforced, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. When the cloth stays down for the outage or sits under grinding, move up through DSZVCF4.0, DSZVCF4.5 and DSZVCF5.0. DSZVCF2.5 is the only heavy model listed from 1200 °C. Each piece is sold per NOS, with length and width entered in metres.
When does Ras Laffan power-facility maintenance use the medium-duty blanket?
When the permit is spark and spatter beside electrical gear, not slag on steel. Signature Medium Duty Welding Blanket DSZMDWB2.4 is 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, non-metallic fabric, reference size 1 × 50 metres, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. That is a separate product from the DSZVCF range. Structural cutting in the same power block is a heavy DSZVCF line, not a substitute for DSZMDWB2.4.
What do DSZVCF4.0, DSZVCF4.5 and DSZVCF5.0 add on a long outage?
Thickness and weight. DSZVCF4.0 is 4.0 mm and 1700 GSM. DSZVCF4.5 is 4.5 mm and 2000 GSM. DSZVCF5.0 is 5.0 mm and 2200 GSM. All three are brown, vermiculite coated, stainless-steel metallic reinforced, with a 1 × 30 metre reference, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. The heavier builds are the ones to name when the blanket stays down or sits under grinding and overhead work. They are still hot-work shields, not fire-response blankets.
Why is DSZVCF2.8 listed at 3.0 mm?
The thickness label is 3.0 mm. The 2.8 in the model code is not the thickness. DSZVCF2.8 is 1100 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, stainless-steel metallic reinforced, reference size 1 × 30 metres, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. DSZVCF3.0 is the same 3.0 mm thickness at 1500 GSM.
How do we order the size for a Ras Laffan maintenance blanket?
Name one model and enter length and width in metres. The blanket is sold per piece. DSZVCF2.5 references 1 × 2 metres. DSZVCF2.8 through DSZVCF5.0 reference 1 × 30 metres. DSZMDWB2.4 references 1 × 50 metres. Those figures are reference formats, not a fixed list of catalogue sizes. A quotation confirms the piece. It is not an arrival date in Qatar.
