What is Signature Insulation Tape used for in a Penang factory?

Is the tape self-adhesive?
No. It is a wrap tape. Spiral it under tension around the pipe or joint and secure the ends the way the site method calls for: wire, lacing, or overlap tension. There is no peel-and-stick claim on this model.
How should a utility line be wrapped?
Clean and dry the surface first. Run the tape in a spiral, each turn overlapping the last by about a third of the 25 mm width. Keep steady tension so it beds down without gaps. Loose turns are where heat gets through.
When is this the wrong tape?
When the spec calls for ceramic fiber, or the duty sits above 900 °C. Ceramic fiber tape is a different product, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. Uncoated white fiberglass tape is another product, for dry wrap, in the same 550 °C to 900 °C band without a silicone face. DSZSFG0.6 stays on the silicone-coated job inside 550 °C to 900 °C.
What should the store check before a roll goes on a hot line?
Tears, fraying, or contamination. Silicone-coated tape that has picked up oil or moisture can smoke on first heat-up, so keep rolls dry and off the floor. Once the coated face is cracked or the edges are fraying, replace the section. Do not patch over a worn face on a hot line.
