Signature silicon FG cloth · Kolkata and Howrah

Silicon cloth for a small curtain, cover or wrap in Kolkata

A garage opening, a fan-shop bench or a house workshop needs a few square metres, not a plant roll. The silicone coating keeps sparks and oil on the face of the glass cloth. Pick the thickness for a curtain or a cover, enter the metres, and we cut it at our Ahmedabad factory and ship it to you.

When the wrap stays hidden

Plain fiberglass cloth costs less when the fabric sits under another cover and nobody cuts or refits it. The coated cloth is the order once the face sees sparks, oil, damp, or comes off the job again.

Garages and small workshops that hang or cover

These are apartments, lane garages and small rooms in Kolkata and Howrah. We do not keep a shelf in any of them. A finished 1 × 2 m fire blanket is a different product.

  • Bansdroni fan shops and lane garages

Fan manufacturing cluster inside Kolkata Municipal Corporation

    Who orders
About 55 small fan shops, and households on the same south Kolkata lanes
    Why this cloth
The state cluster list records fan making, fan testing and job work here. A shop hangs a short curtain at the bench where that job work throws sparks, or lays a cover over a housing it takes off again. A ground-floor apartment garage on these lanes is the household version: a few square metres across the opening while someone grinds a gate. Kolkata municipal rules allow residential parking on the ground floor or in the basement. This order is the curtain, measured in metres.
    Model to start with
    DSZSFG0.4 or DSZSFG0.6
  • Domjur jewellery rooms

Gold and diamond jewellery cluster, Howrah

    Who orders
About 70 gold and diamond units, listed with about 210 people
    Why this cloth
The cloth is a small cover you lift and turn, or a short curtain across the opening of the room where you work. Both-side coating matters when either face can end up outward. Order it only when the job sits inside that model’s listed temperature band. A cooler task does not need this cloth.
    Model to start with
DSZSFG0.6, both sides, if the cover is turned
  • Amta-II machinery shops

Sewing and jute-mill machinery spares, Howrah

    Who orders
    About 35 spare-parts shops
    Why this cloth
The piece here is a cover that has to hold its shape over a machine or a spare you refit. Thin curtain cloth flops. Start at 1.0 mm. Enter the length and width of that cover. A wrap that stays hidden under another layer is plain fiberglass, not this coated cloth.
    Model to start with
    DSZSFG1.0
  • Uluberia-II rubber moulding rooms

    Rubber moulded goods cluster, Howrah

    Who orders
    About 60 small moulding units
    Why this cloth
A short curtain beside a press, or a wrap you take off when the mould changes. Single-side coating is enough when the cloth hangs against the machine and only the outer face sees the heat. Match the model’s listed band to the face of the job before you order the metres.
    Model to start with
DSZSFG0.4, single side, if it hangs against the press

Coating, thickness and the metres you enter

  • Silicone rubber coating on fiberglass. Grey, red or black on every model. Green is listed only on DSZSFG0.6.
  • Thickness models run from 0.3 mm (340 GSM, 550 °C to 800 °C) to 3 mm. DSZSFG800 is 800 GSM and has no thickness listed. Do not invent one.
  • 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm stays flexible for a curtain or a wrap. From 1.0 mm the cloth holds shape for a cover. At 1.5 mm to 3 mm it is heavy cloth for covers that are handled often.
  • DSZSFG2.0 is 2.0 mm and 2200 GSM. DSZSFG3.0 is listed at 3 mm and 2000 GSM, so it is not the heavier cloth, and its reference roll is 1 × 30 m. The other models use a 1 × 50 m reference roll.
  • Coating is single side or both sides. Adhesive is an option only on DSZSFG0.3, DSZSFG0.4, DSZSFG0.5 and DSZSFG0.8.
  • DSZSFG0.5 through DSZSFG3.0, and DSZSFG800, list 650 °C to 900 °C. DSZSFG0.4 lists 550 °C to 900 °C. Colour does not change the band.
  • Sold per square metre. Enter length and width in metres. GSM is the cloth weight, not the weight of the parcel.

What to send with the quote

Length and width
Metres of one curtain, cover or wrap. A second piece is a second line.
Thickness and coating
0.4 mm or 0.6 mm for a hanging curtain. 1.0 mm when the cover must hold shape. Single side against a wall or a machine. Both sides if the piece is turned.
The place
A Bansdroni garage or fan shop, a Domjur jewellery room, an Amta-II machinery bench, or an Uluberia-II moulding room.
Adhesive and colour
Ask for adhesive only on 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 or 0.8 mm. Grey is the usual colour. Green exists only on DSZSFG0.6.

If the curtain is needed soon, write to our sales team. That note looks at dispatch. It is not a same-day collection in Kolkata.

Cut in Ahmedabad, shipped to the address

We make the cloth in Ahmedabad and dispatch the cut square metres to the Kolkata or Howrah address on the order. Processing is 1–2 business days after payment. The shipping policy lists courier estimates of 1–3 days local, 2–5 days within the state, and 3–7 days for the rest of India. Those are estimates. A West Bengal address is not a Gujarat local delivery. The quotation confirms dispatch, and it does not promise the arrival day.

Guides for this cloth

Questions from Kolkata homes and small workshops

What do I order for a small curtain in a Kolkata garage?

A few square metres of the thinner cloth. DSZSFG0.4 is 0.4 mm and lists 550 °C to 900 °C. DSZSFG0.6 is 0.6 mm and lists 650 °C to 900 °C. Both are flexible enough to hang. Enter length and width in metres on the product page. The price is the square metres, not a finished curtain.

When is a thicker cloth the better cover?

When the cover has to hold its shape or gets lifted often. DSZSFG1.0 is 1.0 mm and 970 GSM, listed at 650 °C to 900 °C, and it is not offered with adhesive. DSZSFG2.0 is 2.0 mm and 2200 GSM in the same temperature band. DSZSFG3.0 is listed at 3 mm and 2000 GSM, so it is not heavier than the 2.0 mm cloth, and its reference roll is 1 × 30 m.

Should the coating be on one side or both?

One side is enough when the cloth hangs against a wall or sits on a fixed surface and only the outer face sees sparks, oil or hands. Both sides are worth it when a cover gets turned, or when a wrap can end up with either face outward. Every model lists single-side and both-side coating.

Can I get a sticky back for a temporary patch?

Adhesive is listed as an option only on DSZSFG0.3, DSZSFG0.4, DSZSFG0.5 and DSZSFG0.8. DSZSFG0.6, DSZSFG1.0 and the heavier models are listed without adhesive. If the patch has to stick, pick one of the four models that show the option and confirm it on the variant you add.

Does grey, red or black change the temperature?

No. Grey, red and black share the coating and the temperature band of that model. Grey is the usual choice. Red or black makes a curtain easier to see in a dim garage. Green is listed only on DSZSFG0.6.

What is DSZSFG800 if it has no thickness?

It is specified by weight, 800 GSM, not by millimetres. It lists 650 °C to 900 °C, grey, red or black, single-side or both-side, and no adhesive. Do not guess a thickness for it. If you need a millimetre figure, pick a thickness model instead.

Is this the same as the silicon fire blanket?

No. The model codes look alike and the products are not. This cloth is cut to the metres you enter and sold by the square metre. The silicon fire blanket is a finished piece around a 1 × 2 m reference, sold per piece. Order from the product that matches the job. The blanket page is /in/kolkata/silicon-fire-blanket.

When is plain fiberglass cloth enough?

When the cloth sits under another cover and nobody handles it. Plain fiberglass costs less for that hidden wrap. Move to this coated cloth when the face sees sparks, oil, damp, or gets fitted and taken off again.

How long does a Kolkata order take?

We make the cloth in Ahmedabad. Processing is one to two business days after payment, then a courier. Our shipping policy estimates one to three days on a local run, two to five within the state, and three to seven for the rest of India. Kolkata and Howrah are in West Bengal, so the local band is not the one to assume. The quotation confirms dispatch. Those ranges are estimates. For a date, use /contact-us#contact-form.

Do you keep this cloth in Kolkata?

No. There is no Darshan Safety Zone shelf in Kolkata or Howrah. You still order it. We cut the metres in Ahmedabad and ship them. The product page shows the price per square metre when the catalogue is live.
