Signature welding blankets · Shah Alam

Welding blankets for Shah Alam metal-fabrication shops

A Shah Alam metal shop orders a welding blanket for the bay floor: slag on a fabrication table, or spark beside a panel. Signature Welding Blanket is the heavy DSZVCF family, brown and vermiculite coated, for slag and sustained spatter. Signature Medium Duty Welding Blanket, DSZMDWB2.4, is the non-metallic spark cover. We make both in Ahmedabad and ship them on the order. Name the model, then enter length and width in metres.

Everyday spark in a lighter Shah Alam bay

DSZMDWB2.4 is the medium-duty blanket: 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, non-metallic fabric, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. Use it when the bay throws spark, not slag. The heavy range is a different product.

Slag on the table, or spark beside the panel

Start with the bay, not a catalogue roll. Slag, grinding and a blanket that stays down point to a DSZVCF model. Everyday welding spark, including beside electrical gear in the same shop, points to DSZMDWB2.4. Both are brown and vermiculite coated. Only the heavy roll formats add stainless-steel metallic reinforcement.

What to put on the Shah Alam quotation

Prices stay on the product cards. A Shah Alam shop order is placed on a quotation. Catalogue reference sizes are not the size you receive unless you enter those metres. For a large bay quantity, contact our sales team to discuss the requirement and the dispatch options on that quotation.

Made in Ahmedabad, shipped on the order

Darshan Safety Zone manufactures these welding blankets at our Ahmedabad factory (401 & 402, Golden Plaza, Amar Jawan Circle, Nikol -, Ahmedabad, India). Shah Alam has no Darshan Safety Zone warehouse, branch or shelf, and we do not state a Malaysia arrival day. International transit depends on freight and customs. The blankets ship on the order.

Import duties and customs are yours. Availability depends on the product category and on the regulations that apply to the shipment. Bulk and project quantities follow the production schedule on the quotation. Our shipping and delivery policy covers how an order leaves the factory. Need this urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and available dispatch options.

Questions from Shah Alam fabrication shops

Which blanket belongs on a Shah Alam fabrication floor?

Heavy Signature Welding Blanket, the DSZVCF family, when the bay throws slag, grinding sparks or sustained spatter. Medium-duty DSZMDWB2.4 when the job is everyday spark and lighter spatter, including beside a panel. Both are sold per piece. You enter length and width in metres.

Are the heavy and medium-duty blankets the same product?

No. DSZVCF models are vermiculite coated, brown, and listed up to 1760 °C. The roll formats from DSZVCF2.8 to DSZVCF5.0 are stainless-steel metallic reinforced. DSZMDWB2.4 is one model: 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, non-metallic fabric, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. A shop that needs both puts two lines on the quotation.

Which thickness fits a fabrication table?

DSZVCF2.5 and DSZVCF2.8 suit a lighter cover or a smaller bench. DSZVCF3.0 and DSZVCF3.2 are the usual workshop builds. DSZVCF4.0 through DSZVCF5.0 are for a blanket that stays down, or for heavy grinding. DSZVCF2.8 is listed at 3.0 mm even though the code says 2.8. Leave that as published.

What temperature is listed?

DSZVCF2.5 is 1200 °C to 1760 °C. DSZVCF2.8 through DSZVCF5.0 are 1260 °C to 1760 °C. DSZMDWB2.4 is 900 °C to 1000 °C. Do not treat those bands as one rating, and do not read a fire-blanket hour into them.

Is the reference roll the size we receive?

Only if you type those metres. DSZVCF2.5 references 1 × 2 metres. DSZVCF2.8 through DSZVCF5.0 reference 1 × 30 metres. DSZMDWB2.4 references 1 × 50 metres. The figure is a catalogue reference, not a minimum. The piece is the length and width you enter, sold per NOS.

Why does DSZVCF2.5 look different from the other heavy models?

It is the lighter build in the same family: 1000 GSM, brown, coating listed as Vermiculite, reference 1 × 2 metres, 1200 °C to 1760 °C. Thickness and reinforcement are not listed. The other heavy models list a thickness, vermiculite coated, and stainless-steel metallic reinforcement.

Can this blanket smother a fire?

No. It is a hot-work shield for sparks, spatter and slag while someone is welding or cutting. Smothering a small fire is a fire-blanket job. Do not swap the two in the shop plan.

Is there a warehouse in Malaysia or a stated arrival day?

No. Darshan Safety Zone manufactures the blankets in Ahmedabad and ships them on the order. There is no warehouse, branch or shelf in Shah Alam or elsewhere in Malaysia, and we do not state a Malaysia arrival day. Transit follows freight and customs. Need this urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and available dispatch options.

Who pays duty, and is this a named factory’s product?

Import duties and customs are yours. This page describes spark, spatter and slag cover on Shah Alam metal-fabrication floors. It does not name a factory or an operator as a Darshan Safety Zone customer. No hazardous-area or civil-defence approval is listed. ISO 9001:2015 is our company quality system, not a blanket certification.
