Uncoated fire blankets for Kolkata apartments, garages and small shops

A society store cupboard, a stilt tailor or a Howrah lane garage needs a smother cover you can fold on a hook — not a shipyard fire-watch kit. The Signature Fire Blanket is white uncoated E-glass in twelve DSZFG builds. Pick thickness, enter length and width in metres, and we manufacture in Ahmedabad and ship to your Kolkata or Howrah address.

When to step up to coated blankets

Plain DSZFG suits cupboards and occasional bench work. Silicon or ceramic siblings are separate products — open their pages instead of guessing from this quotation.

Where Kolkata and Howrah buyers hang a plain blanket

Each row is a different hook or shelf — swapping the city name should break the story. These are home and shop covers, not Howrah fabrication fire-watch stock.

  • Twelve DSZFG thickness models from 0.18 mm to 3.0 mm — white uncoated E-glass / glassfiber, no silicon or ceramic coating on this SKU.
  • Sold per piece (NOS) with length and width entered in metres on the product page. Reference size 1 × 2 m on variants — order your finished size.
  • Working temperature tops at 900 °C on listed models; start is 550 °C or 600 °C depending on the build — match the model line on the PDP.
  • DSZFG0.5 lists 550 °C to 900 °C while DSZFG0.4 and DSZFG0.6 list 600 °C to 900 °C — quote the model you select, not an average.
  • Uncoated cloth can itch at edges — gloves help. Frequent handling may justify silicon-coated siblings instead.
  • Not a welding blanket for sustained spatter — see welding blanket products when slag sits in one spot.

What to write on the quotation

  • Place type

Society store, stilt shop, lane garage, or repair counter — Kolkata or Howrah address.

  • DSZFG model

0.4 or 0.6 for cupboards; 0.8 or 1.0 when the piece moves to a garage bench.

  • Length × width

Metres for each piece. A second size is a second line.

  • Quantity

Pieces per hook or shelf — count store rooms, not flat count.

Frequently asked questions

Which DSZFG model fits a Kolkata apartment electrical store or society cupboard?
Start with DSZFG0.4 or DSZFG0.6. Both are white uncoated E-glass, sold per piece with length and width in metres. DSZFG0.4 is 0.4 mm and 280 GSM, listed at 600 °C to 900 °C. DSZFG0.6 is 0.6 mm and 430 GSM, also listed at 600 °C to 900 °C. Pick the size that covers the shelf or the small appliance you want as standby cover — not the whole flat.
How is this different from the Kolkata silicon fire blanket page?
This page is the plain Signature Fire Blanket — uncoated white glass cloth. The silicon page is for coated DSZSFG blankets that take daily handling in fabrication shops and yards. A housing-society store cupboard and a Howrah welding bay are different orders. Do not copy silicon models onto this quotation.
Should a small garage in Howrah buy this or the car fire blanket?
The car fire blanket is an 8 × 6 metre vehicle piece for home parking. This product is ordered to your length and width in metres for a bench, a shelf or a wall hook. If the job is covering a car in a basement, open the car fire blanket page. If the job is a smother cover beside a grinder or a store shelf, stay on this page.
When should we step up to ceramic or silicon instead?
Stay on DSZFG when you need a light, economical smother cover or occasional hot-work shield up to the 900 °C top band on the model you pick. Move to Signature Silicon Fire Blanket when the surface needs coating for moisture, oil or daily handling. Move to Signature Ceramic Fire Blanket only when your procedure calls for the ceramic family — not for a typical home store cupboard.
Does this blanket satisfy Kolkata Municipal or Howrah fire rules for our building?
No. Municipal building and parking rules govern the structure. This product is a blanket you store and deploy. No fire-code approval is printed on DSZFG models in the live product panel. Your society, shop insurer or fire adviser decides what the premises must keep.
Is there DSZ stock in Salt Lake, New Town or Howrah?
No. We manufacture in Ahmedabad and ship to the address on the order. There is no branch, counter or shelf in Kolkata or Howrah. The product is still available to order. Need it urgently? Contact our sales team to discuss your requirement and available dispatch options.
When does a Kolkata order leave Ahmedabad?
Processing is 1–2 business days after payment. The shipping policy gives courier estimates of 1–3 days local, 2–5 days within the state and 3–7 days for the rest of India — estimates only. West Bengal is not a Gujarat local band. The quotation confirms dispatch, not the day the parcel arrives.
How do we order size on this blanket?
Choose the DSZFG thickness model on the product page, enter length and width in metres, and add to cart or request a quote. The 1 × 2 metre size in the specification is a reference format, not the only size. Write each finished size as its own line on a multi-piece RFQ.
Will uncoated glass cloth itch when our caretaker folds it?
Uncoated E-glass can itch at cut edges, especially on lighter builds. Gloves and long sleeves help when folding or refitting. If the piece is handled many times a day, compare the silicon-coated blanket instead — that is a product choice, not a claim that plain cloth fails in every home.
Can we reuse a blanket after it smothers a small fire?
Only after inspection shows it is undamaged. Scorched, holed or hardened areas mean replace it. There is no listed cycle count. When in doubt, order a spare on the next RFQ rather than keeping a doubtful piece on the hook.
