Keep one piece at the stair that serves that parking, so the caretaker does not have to fetch it from a flat.

- New Town sits east of Bidhannagar, under NKDA, and HIDCO publishes the Action Area layouts. Housing registered with the state regulator lists basement car parking in these blocks. Put the piece at the ramp residents actually use. A second level that cannot be reached from the first needs its own piece.

- The corporation counts about 1.17 lakh Rajarhat households in wards 1 to 26, and its tax offices sit at Bablatala, Tegharia, Jyangra and Kestopur. Parking here is often a ground-floor bay or a shared basement for many flats. One piece at the building entrance covers the cars that two people can reach from that entrance.

- How the piece is used
- Howrah applies the KMC Building Rules, and the 2022 urban-development notification describes an old city of partitioned plots and narrow access. A single-car garage may not leave room to walk an 8 × 6 m blanket down both sides. Measure the bay and the lane before you order one piece for the family car.

- How the piece is used
- The same basement-as-parking rule applies inside Howrah, including headroom and a ramp. On plots above 5,000 square metres the corporation also allows extra ground coverage that is reserved for car parking and services. The piece still belongs on the parking floor, next to the cars, and the society orders it to the building address.

What is listed on the piece
- Two models only: DSZCFB0.6 Standard and DSZCFB0.8P Premium. Sold per piece (NOS).
- Both are grey, 8 × 6 metres. The size is fixed. Length and width are not typed in on the order.
- Standard is 0.6 mm and 520 GSM, working temperature 650 °C to 900 °C, both sides silicon coated.
- Premium is 0.8 mm and 550 GSM, working temperature 1100 °C to 1800 °C. The coating is listed as both sides silicon coated and itching-proof.
- GSM is the fabric weight, not the weight of the packed blanket.
- Shared specification text: waterproof, weatherproof, chemical proof, anti-static and reusable material. Reuse depends on an inspection after use. No cycle count is listed.
- Two people, one each side
- The piece is large. Most sites train two people to walk it from the front of the car to the back. One person cannot seal both edges.
- Edges down to the floor
- The 8 × 6 metre size is there so the blanket can cover a car or a van and still reach the ground. The seal is what keeps the flame and the heat under the cover.
- Practise in an empty bay
- Do the walk once while the bay is empty, then hang the piece back where those two people can take it. A basement of 2.1 m headroom still needs space beside the car.
- Look at it after use
- The specification lists reusable material. Tears, a split coating or a burn-through take the piece out of service. There is no listed number of uses.

We manufacture the blanket in Ahmedabad and dispatch it to the Kolkata or Howrah address on the order. Processing is 1–2 business days after payment. The shipping policy then gives courier estimates of 1–3 days local, 2–5 days within the state, and 3–7 days for the rest of India. Those bands are estimates. A West Bengal address is not a Gujarat local run, so the quotation is what confirms dispatch. It does not promise the day the piece arrives.

Which model fits a Kolkata society basement that only parks petrol and diesel cars?
Start with DSZCFB0.6 Standard. It is listed at 650 °C to 900 °C, 0.6 mm and 520 GSM, grey, both sides silicon coated, one piece of 8 × 6 metres. That is the blanket for a family car that runs on petrol or diesel. Keep it on the parking level, where two people can reach it without going up to a flat.
A New Town block has one electric car. Do we buy Premium for the whole basement?
Buy DSZCFB0.8P Premium for the level where that car parks or charges. Premium is listed at 1100 °C to 1800 °C, 0.8 mm and 550 GSM. The other levels, if they only hold petrol and diesel cars, can stay on DSZCFB0.6. Write both lines on the quotation so the pieces are not mixed up in one count. The blanket holds surface flame and heat. It does not stop a battery from burning inside the pack, and no EV battery certificate is listed.
Will an 8 × 6 metre blanket come out of a Howrah house garage?
Only if two people can walk it from the front of the car to the back and seal the edges to the ground. Howrah plots are often small and the lane is narrow, so measure the garage and the space beside the car before you order. Both models are 8 × 6 metres only. A tighter piece is not listed, and the size cannot be typed in on the order.
Does this blanket satisfy the Kolkata or Howrah basement parking rule?
No. The municipal rules say a residential basement may be used for parking, with headroom, ramps and drainage. Those rules are for the building. This product is a blanket you store and pull over a car. No fire-code approval is printed on DSZCFB0.6 or DSZCFB0.8P. Your society and its fire adviser decide what the building must keep.
How many pieces does a Salt Lake block need?
Count parking levels, not flats. One piece lives where the cars on that level can be covered. A Salt Lake cooperative with stilt parking under one stair often starts with one DSZCFB0.6 at that stair. A New Town basement with two ramps is a longer walk, so the piece belongs at the ramp you will actually use, and a second piece belongs on another level if cars there cannot be reached from the first. Tell us the number of levels and where each piece will hang.
Is there a shop or a warehouse in Kolkata or Howrah?
No. We manufacture the blanket at our factory in Ahmedabad and ship it to the address on the order. There is no branch, counter or shelf in Salt Lake, New Town, a KMC basement or Howrah. When does an order for Kolkata leave Ahmedabad?

Can we order a smaller blanket for a scooter or a tight stilt?
No. Both current models are 8 × 6 metres, sold per piece. The size is fixed. If the bay is too tight for two people to walk the blanket over the vehicle and down to the floor, this model is the wrong format for that bay. Ask us before you order rather than assuming another size exists.
Is this the same blanket as the silicon fire blanket for Howrah workshops?
No. This page is DSZCFB, an 8 × 6 metre vehicle blanket for a car at home, sold per piece. The Howrah fabrication page is a silicon fire blanket for shop fire watch, in a different size and a different category. A housing-society basement and a workshop bay are different orders.
Who should practise pulling it — the caretaker or the residents?
Whoever your building has already named for a vehicle fire. The blanket is large. Most sites train two people, one on each side, to walk it from the front of the car to the back. A first attempt during a fire is the wrong time to learn the walk. Practise on an empty bay, then put the piece back where those two people can take it without hunting for a key.
