Welding blankets for Jubail petrochemical plant hot work
Maintenance and procurement teams on Jubail process plants hang a welding blanket when hot work throws spark, spatter or slag. The heavy Signature Welding Blanket is the DSZVCF range, brown and vermiculite coated, for slag that stays on the job. Signature Medium Duty Welding Blanket, DSZMDWB2.4, is the spark cover. Both are made at our Ahmedabad factory and shipped on the order. Name the model, then enter length and width in metres.
Medium-duty cover when the job is spark, not slag
DSZMDWB2.4 is 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated and non-metallic, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. HSN 70191900. The heavy range is HSN 68062000. A Jubail order names one model and is placed on a quotation.
Where plant hot work hangs a blanket

Questions from Jubail plant maintenance and procurement
Which blanket covers slag on a Jubail process unit?
The heavy Signature Welding Blanket. DSZVCF3.2 is the usual start: 3.2 mm, 1500 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, SS metallic reinforced, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C. DSZVCF2.5 is the exception at 1200 °C to 1760 °C. The other heavy models are 1260 °C to 1760 °C.
When does the medium-duty blanket belong on the same job?
When the hot work is spark and spatter, not slag. DSZMDWB2.4 is 2.4 mm, 1300 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, non-metallic fabric, listed at 900 °C to 1000 °C. That band starts at 900 °C. It is a different product from the DSZVCF range.
Why does DSZVCF2.8 show 3.0 mm?
The thickness label is 3.0 mm. The 2.8 in the model code is not the thickness. DSZVCF2.8 is 1100 GSM, brown, vermiculite coated, SS metallic reinforced, with a 1 × 30 metre reference, listed at 1260 °C to 1760 °C.
What is listed for DSZVCF2.5?
1000 GSM, brown, coating label Vermiculite, reference size 1 × 2 metres, 1200 °C to 1760 °C. Thickness and reinforcement are not listed on that model. The roll models from DSZVCF2.8 through DSZVCF5.0 are SS metallic reinforced.
How do we order the size?
Each blanket is sold per piece. Enter length and width in metres. DSZVCF2.5 references 1 × 2 metres. DSZVCF2.8 through DSZVCF5.0 reference 1 × 30 metres. DSZMDWB2.4 references 1 × 50 metres. Name the model on the quotation.
Are hazardous-area or civil-defence approvals listed?
No. Neither approval is listed on these blankets. Darshan Safety Zone holds ISO 9001:2015 for the company quality system. That is not a product approval and it is not a hazardous-area rating.
Is there a warehouse in Saudi Arabia or a stated arrival day?
We manufacture in Ahmedabad and ship on the order. There is no warehouse, branch or shelf in Jubail or elsewhere in Saudi Arabia, and we do not state a Saudi arrival day. Transit follows the freight and customs path confirmed on the quotation. The blankets ship on that order.
Who pays duty and customs?
Import duties and customs are yours. We do not quote a landed cost here. Availability also depends on the product category and on the regulations that apply to the shipment.
What should a Jubail buyer send for the quotation?
Heavy or medium, the model, length and width in metres, and whether the hot work is on a Jubail 1 unit, a Jubail 2 unit, or heavy equipment in the logistics areas beside them. Plant quantities follow the production schedule on the quotation.
How should a blanket be checked before the next hot-work permit?
Inspect it for burns, holes or coating damage and retire it if it is compromised. Hang it on a clear area under the site hot-work procedure, with the edges secured. Store it dry, flat or loosely rolled.
