A Sohar furnace wrap starts at a DSZCF code, not at a square-metre guess
Steel-bar work, a glass furnace, and iron and steel production in Sohar all use white ceramic fiber fabric. They do not start on the same thickness, and a non-metallic cloth is not the metallic one with the steel taken out of the name. Duqm’s cover is a different product even though both are sold by area. The fabric is made in Ahmedabad once the code is on the quotation.
White DSZCF, not the graphite cloth
This card is the ceramic fiber fabric. Graphite-coated cloth is a separate product. Open the guide only if the wrap must be black and coated on both sides.
The heat zone picks the start
Steel-bar furnaces
Metallic DSZCF3.0. Stainless reinforced, 3.0 mm, band from 1260 °C.
Glass furnaces
DSZCF1.5 or DSZCF2.0 when the band has to start at 1000 °C. Those are the only two codes that do.
Iron and steel
A thicker barrier, DSZCF4.0 or DSZCF5.0, when 3.0 mm is light on the furnace face.
No metal in the cloth
DSZCF3.0NM. Same 3.0 mm and 1000 GSM as DSZCF3.0, without the stainless reinforcement.

Duqm measures DSZHIC on a pipe, valve, flange or tank shell, and the buyer has to send the metal temperature because that cover prints none. A Sohar furnace face is DSZCF. Steel bars, glass, and iron production describe the heat. They are not a claim that OQ, Sohar Aluminium, Vale, or any other company buys the cloth.

What does a Sohar furnace order start from?
White DSZCF ceramic fiber fabric, by the square metre. Steel-bar furnaces usually start at metallic DSZCF3.0. The guide then moves thickness or drops the metal. This page does not lock a GSM.
Why would a glass furnace not use that 3.0 mm start?
When the band must begin at 1000 °C, the guide points at DSZCF1.5 or DSZCF2.0. Those are the only two codes with that lower start. DSZCF3.0 begins at 1260 °C.
When is the cloth non-metallic?
When the procedure does not want metal in the fabric. That is DSZCF3.0NM: same 3.0 mm and same 1000 GSM as DSZCF3.0, without the stainless reinforcement. It is not a lighter version of the metallic cloth.
Is graphite-coated ceramic the same Sohar order?
No. Name the graphite cloth only when the wrap must be black and graphite coated on both sides. Otherwise the order stays on white DSZCF. The fabric guide is where that switch is made.
Duqm also sells by the square metre. Is it this cloth?
No. Duqm is DSZHIC on a refinery pipe, valve, flange or shell, and that listing prints no temperature. Sohar is a ceramic furnace wrap or a hot-metal barrier. Same unit, different product.
Where is the fabric made?
At the Ahmedabad factory. Sohar has no Darshan Safety Zone shelf. Square metres ship after the quotation names the code.
Do you claim a Sohar mill or smelter as a customer?
No. Steel-bar making, glass, and iron and steel production describe the heat zone. The page does not say that OQ, Sohar Aluminium, Vale, or any other company buys the cloth, and it does not claim a hazardous-area or civil-defence approval.
What has to be on the Sohar line?
The DSZCF code, metallic or DSZCF3.0NM, the length and width in metres, and which heat zone: steel bar, glass, iron and steel, or another furnace. Leave Duqm covers off this line.
