DSZCFB0.8P Premium is listed at 1100 °C to 1800 °C and is the one to specify once electric cars park or charge on the level, because a battery fire runs far hotter than a fuel fire.
Will one 8 × 6 m blanket cover the cars in a Mumbai basement or podium?
Both models are 8 × 6 metres — enough to cover a standard car or van with margin to seal the edges down to the floor. The catch in a tight basement is space around the car: the crew needs to walk the blanket from front to back along both sides, so check the gap between bays and pillars where you plan to use it.
Can a car fire blanket be used on stack or puzzle parking?
Only where responders can reach the burning car on the floor and pull the blanket over it to the ground. A car held on an upper pallet of a stack or puzzle system cannot be sealed that way. For mechanised parking, plan where a blanket can actually be used — usually the drive aisle and ground-level positions — with your fire safety adviser.
Does it put out an electric car fire?
No blanket stops thermal runaway inside a battery pack, which can keep burning and reignite. What it does is smother surface flame and hold heat in, so the fire does not spread to the next car or the slab above while the fire brigade is on its way. Treat it as containment and follow your emergency procedure — never treat an EV fire as out because the flames have gone.
Does the blanket carry EV battery fire certification or fire-code approval?
No such certification, test result or fire-code approval is listed for this product. The listed specifications are the model, size, thickness, GSM, coating and working temperature. Fire safety requirements for parking and EV charging in your building should be confirmed with your fire consultant and the authorities.
How many people does it take to deploy, and where should it be kept?
It is a large blanket — most sites train two people, one each side, to walk it over the vehicle from front to back. Keep it close to the cars it protects: at the charging bays, at each parking level or at the yard gate, where staff can reach it without unlocking anything. Practise before you need it.
Will it survive storage in a damp Mumbai basement or open yard?
The specification lists waterproof, weatherproof, chemical-proof, anti-static and reusable material, with both faces silicon coated.
