Signature car fire blankets · Hyderabad

Car fire blankets for Hyderabad office car parks, EV charging and fleets

Campus car parks along the IT corridor, residential basements with new chargers, and yards full of cabs all need a plan for a car fire before the fire service arrives. The Signature Car Fire Blanket is an 8 × 6 m cover, silicon coated on both sides, made to be pulled over a burning car to smother the flames. This page helps facility managers, parking operators and fleet buyers decide which model, how many and where to keep them. We make it at our Ahmedabad factory and dispatch to your site.

Hyderabad parking where a car fire blanket belongs

Hyderabad's parking load is concentrated in the IT corridor, the residential towers around it, the fleets that move its workforce, and a growing number of charging bays. Each site type changes which model you need, how many, and where they should be kept.

  • HITEC City and Madhapur IT parks

Office campuses along the Hitec City main road, Cyberabad

    Parking type:
Campus basements and multi-level car parks for employee cars
    What to plan for:
Thousands of employee cars arrive and leave in the same peak hours, and fill every level by mid-morning. Keep a blanket at each level's ramp head or lift lobby so security staff can reach any bay quickly.

Start with: DSZCFB0.8P on levels with charging; DSZCFB0.6 elsewhere

  • Kondapur, Gachibowli, Manikonda and Kukatpally

Residential towers and gated communities in west Hyderabad

    Parking type:
Basement and stilt parking shared by residents
    What to plan for:
Residents are adding private chargers in their own bays, so EV charging spreads across the basement over time. Plan the Premium build wherever chargers have gone in, and review the plan when new ones are added.

Start with: DSZCFB0.6; DSZCFB0.8P beside private chargers

  • Cab and office-transport fleets

App-based cabs and employee-transport vehicles serving the IT corridor

    Parking type:
Overnight fleet yards, holding areas and charging rows
    What to plan for:
Fleet cars stand close together overnight, often with electric cabs charging in a row. The blanket belongs in the yard, at the gate and at the charging row, not inside each car.

Start with: DSZCFB0.8P at charging rows; DSZCFB0.6 for petrol and diesel lines

  • Nampally automated parking complex

Fully automated multi-level car park near Nampally station and Assembly Metro

    Parking type:
Machine-operated puzzle parking with entry and transfer bays
    What to plan for:
No one walks the automated storage levels, so a blanket can only be used where a car stands on the floor within reach. Plan it for the entry and transfer bays where cars are handed over.

Start with: DSZCFB0.8P at the transfer bays

  • Rajiv Gandhi International Airport parking

Multi-level car park and open parking at Shamshabad

    Parking type:
Short- and long-stay cars, with EV charging at the main car park
    What to plan for:
Cars sit unattended for hours or days, and charging bays are in use around the clock. Keep a Premium blanket at the charging bays and a blanket at each parking zone's attendant booth.

Start with: DSZCFB0.8P at chargers; DSZCFB0.6 in general zones

  • EV charging in malls and commercial buildings

Public and building charging points across the city

    Parking type:
Charging bays inside mall and office car parks
    What to plan for:
Telangana waives road tax and registration fees on electric cars and cabs registered up to 31 December 2026, so more buildings are adding chargers. Each new charging cluster needs a Premium blanket beside it.

    Start with: DSZCFB0.8P

Planning blankets by site: model, place and number

Use these as starting points for a site plan, then confirm the final numbers with your fire consultant. The rule behind every row is the same: put the blanket where staff can reach the car fast, and use Premium wherever electric cars charge.

Standard and Premium, as listed

Both models share the same size and specification: waterproof, weatherproof, chemical-proof, anti-static and reusable material. They differ in thickness, GSM and listed working temperature. Confirm the figures on the model you select on the product page.

DSZCFB0.6 Standard

  • 0.6 mm thick, 520 GSM
  • Both sides silicon coated, grey
  • Working temperature 650 °C to 900 °C
  • 8 × 6 m, sold per piece

DSZCFB0.8P Premium

  • 0.8 mm thick, 550 GSM
  • Both sides silicon coated, itching-proof material, grey
  • Working temperature 1100 °C to 1800 °C
  • 8 × 6 m, sold per piece

Only the 8 × 6 m size is listed. It covers a standard car or van with margin to seal the edges to the ground. It is not sized for buses or trucks.

Keeping the blanket ready between uses

A blanket only helps if staff can reach it in time and it is still in good condition. In open-air and stilt parking, that means looking after it through the summer heat and the monsoon.

  1. Step 1

    Keep it at the bay

Store the blanket in its bag or a closed container at the level, charging cluster or yard gate it protects, off the floor and out of standing water.

  2. Step 2

    Make it findable

Mark the location clearly and tell security and yard staff on every shift where it is. Staff should be able to reach it without unlocking anything.

  3. Step 3

    Practise with two people

Most sites train two people to run it out, one on each side, walking it from the front of the car to the back. Practise in your own parking layout.

  4. Step 4

    Inspect and after use

Check the bag and blanket on a routine schedule. After any use, once the car has cooled, inspect the fabric and coated faces; tears, delamination or burn-through take it out of service.

Frequently asked questions

Answers for Hyderabad facility managers, parking operators and fleet buyers considering Signature car fire blankets.

Standard or Premium for an office car park in HITEC City or Gachibowli?

Decide level by level. DSZCFB0.6 Standard is listed at 650 °C to 900 °C, so use it on levels where only petrol and diesel cars park. DSZCFB0.8P Premium is listed at 1100 °C to 1800 °C, so use it on any level with EV charging points or reserved EV bays. Most campus car parks end up with both models on one order.

How many car fire blankets does a multi-level office car park need?

Plan by reach, not by floor area. Keep one blanket at each level's ramp head or lift lobby, where security staff pass on every round, and add one at each cluster of EV charging bays. A blanket stored two levels away is too far from the car. Send us the number of levels and charging clusters and we will quote the right mix of Standard and Premium.

Should a cab or employee-transport fleet keep a blanket in every car?

No. At 8 × 6 metres the blanket is site equipment for the yard, depot or parking zone, not an in-car kit. Keep it where the fleet parks overnight and where electric cabs charge, and train the yard supervisors and security staff who are there when the cars are.

Can a car fire blanket be used in automated parking like the Nampally complex?

Only where a person can reach the car standing on the floor and pull the blanket over it to the ground. Inside a fully automated puzzle system, cars are moved by machines with no one inside the storage levels. Plan the blanket for the entry and transfer bays where cars are handed over, and confirm the wider fire plan with the operator's fire consultant.

Does the blanket put out an electric car fire?

No blanket stops thermal runaway inside a battery pack, which can keep burning and reignite. The blanket is used to cover the car and hold in flame and heat while the fire service is called. Treat it as containment and follow your emergency procedure. An EV fire is never out just because the flames have gone.

Is the blanket certified or tested for EV battery fires?

No EV battery certification, test result or fire-code approval is listed for this product. The listed specifications are model, size, thickness, GSM, coating and working temperature. Confirm the fire safety requirements for parking and EV charging in your building with your fire consultant and the local fire authority.

Can it be stored in open-air parking through Hyderabad's summer and monsoon?

The specification lists waterproof, weatherproof, chemical-proof, anti-static and reusable material, with both faces silicon coated. Even so, keep it in its bag or a closed container at the bay, out of standing water, and inspect it on a routine schedule so it is ready to use.

Is there a size other than 8 × 6 metres for SUVs or vans?

Only 8 × 6 metres is listed, on both models. That covers a standard car or van with margin to seal the edges to the ground. If your site needs a different format, ask us before ordering rather than assuming another size is available.

Do you have a branch or stock in Hyderabad, and how quickly can you dispatch?

No. Darshan Safety Zone makes Signature car fire blankets at our factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and dispatches to the car park, campus, depot or yard address on the order. We do not have a branch, dealer or warehouse in Telangana. Dispatch timing depends on models and quantities, so we confirm it on the quotation.

What should a Hyderabad car-park or fleet quotation include?

Include the site type (office campus, residential tower, mall, airport-area parking or fleet yard), the number of levels or zones, and how many have EV charging. Add the model and quantity per line, the delivery address with pin code, and any required-by date, such as a fire drill or the day new chargers go live.
